SRG Global Inc., a U.S. supplier of molded and chrome-plated auto parts, plans to open its second plant in China, an injection molding, plating and painting operation in Hubei province.

The company, headquartered in suburban Detroit, said the 23,000-square-meter plant will open in early 2016.

In addition to injection molding, the new plant will include a chrome plating line with paint and assembly operations.

The Hubei plant will be SRG's 14th worldwide and will employ 350 workers, the company said.

Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, is home to state-owned Dongfeng Motor Corp., one of China's largest automakers.

SRG operates a plant in Suzhou, outside Shanghai.

SRG CEO Dave Prater said, "This second facility demonstrates our strong commitment to customers in the region, and that we will deliver the highest quality products to meet their expanding production needs."
